The hotel has a Civil Marriages License so you may hold your civil wedding or civil partnership ceremony here as well. We do accept ceremony only enquiries.

We can offer the choice of two unique rooms licensed for Civil Ceremonies:

The Heritage Suite

The Heritage Suite (pictured right) is located in the oldest part of the building and can accommodate up to 60 guests for a Civil Ceremony. Original oak Tudor beams and the ornamental fireplace add to the charm of the venue.

Heritage Ceremony Hire: £295.00

The Capella Suite

The Capella Suite is licensed for up to 120 guests and offers a slightly modern feel in traditional surroundings.

Capella Ceremony Hire: £395.00  

Registrar Information:

Civil ceremonies at The Star Alfriston are performed by Registrar's from the local registry office in Eastbourne. Couples who wish to have a civil ceremony or partnership at The Star Alfriston, must contact the Registrar directly to book their ceremony date and time. Opening hours are from 9-4pm Monday to Friday, and on Saturday mornings for weddings.
