Christmas Break

Enjoy Christmas at your own pace. Choose either a 3 or 4 night break in which to relax and unwind at The Star.

Christmas Eve

• Arrive at your leisure and settle in to your room and the hotel.
• Enjoy tea and mince pies served from the Bar between 2.00 pm - 5.00pm.
• Meet your fellow guests tonight at a sparkling Champagne Reception.
• Enjoy a sumptuous Christmas Eve Dinner in the Capella Room.
  
• Later relax in the Lounges with a warming glass of mulled wine.
  
• Join us for a torchlight procession to Midnight Mass at St Andrew’s Church.

Christmas Day

• Wake up to the thought of a stylish Bucks Fizz Breakfast.
• Presents will be given out from under the Christmas tree!
• With time to relax before lunch, perhaps take a stroll or read a book by the fire.
• Take your seat for a delicious, traditional Christmas lunch.
• This afternoon visit one of the charming local villages, or drive to the coast for a seafront walk.
• Return to a refreshing cup of tea and a slice of Christmas Cake.
• This evening our Head Chef will prepare a wonderful Yuletide Buffet.

Boxing Day

• Spend today at leisure and plan things out over a hearty breakfast.
• Perhaps enjoy a board game or take a walk along the popular routes over the South Downs.
• This evening enjoy a fabulous Gala Dinner.

Saturday 27 December 2008

• Enjoy breakfast with us before we have to say a fond farewell or better still, stay another night and let us continue to take care of you.
• Visit one of the Cuckmere Valley’s scenic locations or simply relax in the Library or Lounges.
• A delicious homemade Cream Tea will be served this afternoon, at your leisure.
  
• Save some space for Dinner served from 7.00pm in the Capella Room.

• Set yourself up for the day with another home cooked breakfast before your journey home.
  
• Otherwise stay for longer with our special discounted rate for Christmas guests, of £60 per person per night for dinner, bed and breakfast available until the 30th December 2008 inclusive.

New Year’s Eve Break

Say a traditional farewell to the ‘auld year’ and ring in the new year with a gastronomic feast accompanied by music and dancing as the house party takes you into 2009.

Wednesday 31 December 2008

• Arrive from 2.00pm and settle in to your accommodation before the celebrations begin.
• Join us for Tea and Shortbread in the Lounges.
• Meet your fellow guests at a sparkling Bucks Fizz Reception.
• Take your seats for a spectacular Gala Dinner with musical accompaniment.
• Music and dancing will carry you along to midnight.

Thursday 1 January 2009

• Enjoy a delicious morning Brunch and recount highlights from the night before.
• With today at leisure, perhaps take one of our self-guided walks, stroll along Eastbourne’s grand seafront, or just relax and read a book by one of our fires.
• Join us for a homemade Cream Tea in the Lounges.
• Tonight our chefs will prepare a special candlelit dinner to celebrate the first night of the New Year.

Friday 2 January 2009

• Start the day with a hearty full English Breakfast before we bid you a fond farewell.
• But don’t rush home too soon! Enjoy extended use of our car park, so that you can have lunch or see more of Alfriston and its surroundings.
• Better still why not stay longer and take advantage of our special rate for New Year’s Eve guests of only £45 per person per night, for dinner bed and breakfast.

NB: Guests may take the first night of their stay on Tuesday 30 December 2008, if preferred.

Terms and Conditions
Prices shown are based on two people sharing. Single and child supplements apply as shown. A provisional booking can be made and will be held for up to 14 days, after which time the following deposit is required to confirm your booking: £100 per person for Christmas Breaks and £50 per person for New Year’s Eve Breaks (’Twixmas’ Breaks do not require a deposit). Reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking. Christmas and New Year breaks must be paid for in full, 14 days prior to arrival. Please note that cancellations will incur a loss of deposit and that deposits are not transferable. Any special dietary requirements must be advised at the time of booking. The hotel management reserve the right to change any details in this brochure due to unforeseen circumstances. The hotel reserves the right to refuse admission.
