The Star is a truly historic building dating back to 1345. It is the perfect place to experience traditional English heritage, whilst the hotel retains a peaceful atmosphere. It is within easy access of the A27 east and west and also the M23 to London.
Once you step outside, you are in a great position to explore the remarkable history of Alfriston including St Andrew's Church, the old lock-up and an opportunity to visit the local tea rooms.
We aim to ensure we offer the best hotel experience for our guests; our rooms are designed to feel cosy whilst providing enough space to make a home from home during your stay with us. Whether you plan to be out and about or enjoying the facilities of the hotel, it is a perfect place to relax and unwind.
We have three special rooms, known as the Lullington Room, Littlington room and the Jevington Room. These are different as they are full of character and history dating back to the 13th Century, these rooms ensure you have a unique and personal visit to Alfriston.
One of these three special rooms is our excellent triple aspect Mini-Suite, which is suitable for up to two adults and two children. This suite offers a lounge area, sofa bed and a dramatic half-tester bed.
Please note that there is a supplement for the use of these popular rooms.
